Basilica of St. Clare

The Basilica of St. Clare in Assisi was built next to the ancient church of St. George, the site of the first burial of both St. Francis in 1226 and St. Clare in 1253. It was consecrated in 1265. In addition to the body of the Saint, there is the Crucifix of San Damiano, which spoke to St. Francis.
